2025 USATKD National Championships
The 2025 USATKD National Championships took place at the Ontario Convention Center from July 23-27 and serves as a major milestone in the USATKD calendar. In addition to the national championships, the Under21(U21) team trials were also held.
Arriving from a spectacular silver medal performance at the 2025 FISU Summer World University Games in Essen, Germany, Ethan Gun dominated his division. Winning gold and earning a spot to represent Team USA at the World Taekwondo U21 World Championships, to be held in Nairobi, Kenya later this year.
Ashley Choi fought her way into the finals and settled for a silver medal in her U21 qualification. Hebe Leung also won a bronze medal in the cadet female sparring division.
In the poomsae division, Calista DeGuzman became a triple crown winner by winning gold in all 3 of her divisions. Another stand out is Eric Gun, winning six gold medals in six divisions. In conclusion, Team ATMA won 14 🥇 7 🥈 and 6 🥉 medals at the 2025 USATKD National Championships.
